SMART is building a 12’ wide multi-use pathway on the south and east sides of the railroad tracks. The pathway will cross Gallinas Creek half way down McInnis Parkway and will continue on to Smith Ranch Road. Gallinas Watershed Council is currently tracking this project and is concerned about possible impacts to the marsh, the species that use the marsh and call it home, and impacts to water quality. If you observe activity that may be negatively impacting the north fork of Gallinas Creek and the marsh in this area, please contact the GWC at [email protected]
