Watershed supporters from around the county met from 3:30 to 5:30 PM at the San Rafael Community Center Auditorium, on 618 B Street in San Rafael, CA.

The purpose of the Forum was to bring together watershed groups, citizen advocates and anyone interested in stewardship of Marin County creeks and watersheds.

The event included e a roundtable session to hear what different watershed groups around the county are up to and to brainstorm sharing of resources and how to be most effective in our individual and group efforts.  (Specific ordinances, policies, and projects will not be addressed.)

Special guest Mitch Avalon joined the discussion.  He is Deputy Director of Public Works and Deputy Chief Engineer of the Flood Control and Water Conservation District in Contra Costa County, Chair of Alhambra Watershed Council, and longtime member of Contra Costa Watershed Forum.  Mitch has been at the forefront of bringing the watershed perspective to his agencies.
