Thank you everyone who attended Coastal Cleanup Day on Gallinas Creek!
When: Saturday, September 17, 2016 from 1 to 3 PM
Where:
we meet at 1 PM to align our cleanup with the high tide, which on Gallinas Creek is around 2 PM (over 6 feet high).
How:
By canoe, kayak, boat, paddleboard or even on foot. A high tide that afternoon will allow us to reach areas of the North Fork only accessible by small boat.
Bring:
Wear old clothes; boots, or water sandals with heavy socks, old, long sleeved shirt and long pants, gloves. You will be working in a wet, mucky, marsh environment at high tide. You will mostly likely get your feet and the bottom of your pants wet.
Bring Sun protection, drinking water, plastic trash bags, gloves, a towel and clean shoes for the ride home
