GWC organized a fun educational Watershed Walk on Sunday, Feb. 28, 2016! Hike leader is long-term Santa Venetia resident John Denigris. About 20 people met at 10 AM at the bridge to Santa Margarita Island. We hiked around the island at low tide and learned about the history, plants and animals of the island.

After the hike around the island we headed to Oxford Valley, a little known jewel in the hills. John discuss the history and ecology of the island and Oxford Valley.

The recent rains have brought out a plethora of wildflowers.
